  Such a beautiful spot Riverdale has to offer with a pretty damn nice view of the Hudson river during the spring time. I took my mom there on Earth day which probably wasn't the best time as it was pretty busy!
  
  Be prepared to walk a lot, there is much to see and make sure to arrive on the earlier side since some areas close at 4pm such as the Green house and Gallery house. This should have been said to us upon my entering at 3pm as I missed out on both areas on my most recent visit.
  
  Also the food vanished quickly during the recent visit. Not only was there a huge line, the selection was very minimal. They were sold out of most soup, salad and sandwiches so I ended up eating this extremely nasty dry quinoa with coconut shavings, grapes, orange pieces and vinaigrette that ran about $8? Oh and a small bag of chips...$3 ??? I recommend eating beforehand or bring your own food for a picnic because that was a waste of money.
  
  This garden isn't meant to be an eating venture though so I can't compain too much. Come here to enjoy a beautiful view and lovely garden space. They do sell beer so maybe enjoy a beer while looking at the Hudson river and having conversation with a date.
